I don't need any recording software as I don't perform this function that often. EDIT: Success!

I think! I sigmatel stereo mix all the various options on this page and a multitude of other forums and blogs. I ultimately had to reinstall and download all sorts of drivers from Dell. Once i got basic sound back up and running, i tried the above experience solution and midway install shield tells me that an object is missing and aborts sigmatel stereo mix and i lose all kinds of function and have to install dell drivers again.

When i try to install dell in XP compatibility mode I receive the error message about not being the right system. You rock! Inspiron Vista Home Edition. Thanks to sigmatel stereo mix page and the link I got my stereo mix back on my Win 7 machine without restart, and it shows again the stupidness of taking it out in the first sigmatel stereo mix. Follow the instructions for the E above starting with step 2.

In step 5 copy the modified 92XXM Look at falerus's post on page 20 of the thread for his link to the modified 92XXM Click Options, Properties, Recording 4. Site Feedback. sigmatel stereo mix

Getting Stereo Mix on XP...lets do it

I really need this done. Congratulations to our 29 oldest beta sites - They're now no longer beta!

Wow, I haven't been on here since I posted this in the first place over a year ago. It's interesting to see all of the different issues that have arisen from the horribly crappy SigmaTel audio drivers. Suffice sigmatel stereo mix say this was a "do at your own risk" fix as I would advise not touching your registry like the other suggestion stated unless you absolutely know what you're doing.

It worked for me, but my laptop got stolen, so I can't go back and run through why mine worked and others' didn't. It would just be nice if they would quit using SigmaTel and go with a more widely compatible audio system; AC 97 seems to be pretty good so far. I use the Mobile-Pre in my home studio when I need a mic input sigmatel stereo mix without any fancy frills. I'm so excited because I'm finally ready to record!

It's been a real pain to tackle all of the troubleshooting to be able to use this site so I thought I would share how I did it. First I could only hear my voice and no music in the playback so I downloaded the driver mentioned above. This is the first time I've had this happen to me. The Registry opens. Do that by right-clicking on DigitalStereoMix and changing the last two zeros to If you already tested audio drivers from LG and Dell, but still not have Stereo Mix under Windows Vista you can try this driver sigmatel stereo mix Intel. I recently got a job that requires I have the “Stereo Mix” functionality enabled on my Sigma Tel sound card on a Precision Workstation.
